Overview of Key Stage 2 Results 2016

In Year 6 there were new SATs and teacher assessments, with a much higher standard required of pupils. The cohort consisted of 13 children so one child represents 8% (rounded).

 

Reading

69% of pupils achieved the expected standard in reading (national average = 66%)

15% of pupils achieved a high level of attainment in reading (national average = 19%)

The average scaled score in reading was 103 (national average = 102)

The average progress in reading was -2.8

 

Writing

61.5% of pupils achieved the expected standard in writing (national average = 74%)

No pupils were working at greater depth in writing (national average = 14%)

The average progress in writing was -5.6

 

Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling

69% of pupils achieved the expected standard in grammar, punctuation & spelling (national average = 72%)

23% of pupils achieved a high score in grammar, punctuation & spelling (national average = 22%)

 

Maths

46% of pupils achieved the expected standard in maths (national average = 70%)

8% of pupils achieved a higher level of attainment in maths (national average = 17%)

The average scaled score in maths was 98 (national average = 103)

The average progress in maths was –6.3

 

Combined Reading, Writing and Maths

31% of pupils achieved the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths (national figure = 52%)

No pupils achieved a high level of attainment in Reading, Writing and Maths (national figure = 5%)
