Overview of Key Stage 2 Results 2017

In Year 6 this was the second year of the new style SATs and teacher assessments, with a much higher standard required of pupils than pre 2016. The cohort consisted of 8 children so one child represents 12.5%.

 

Reading

75% of pupils achieved the expected standard in reading (national average = 71%)

12.5% of pupils achieved a high level of attainment in reading (national average = 25%)

The average scaled score in reading was 104.9 (national average = 104.1)

The average progress in reading was +0.6%

 

Writing

62.5% of pupils achieved the expected standard in writing (national average = 76.3%)

12.5% of pupils achieved a level of greater depth in writing (national average = 17.7%)

The average progress in writing was - 2.15%

 

Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling

75% of pupils achieved the expected standard in grammar, punctuation & spelling (national average = 76.9%)

25% of pupils achieved a high score in grammar, punctuation & spelling (national average = 30.9%)

 

Maths

75% of pupils achieved the expected standard in maths (national average = 74.8%)

25% of pupils achieved a higher level of attainment in maths (national average = 22.6%)

The average scaled score in maths was 102.4 (national average = 104.2)

The average progress in maths was - 1.94%

 

Combined Reading, Writing and Maths

50% of pupils achieved the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths (national figure = 61.1%)

12.5% of pupils achieved a high level of attainment in Reading, Writing and Maths (national figure = 8.7%)
